Meet the author

Originally from the UK, Rob has lived and worked in a number of different places. He spent some time in France and then Canada from the late 80s through to the early 90s, and from 1995 to 2008, he lived in the US. Starting out in Wyoming, he studied for an MA at the University of Wyoming, after which he moved to Iowa, where he began working towards a distance-learning PhD with the University of Nottingham. During this time, he held a number of teaching positions at colleges and universities. His final year in the US was spent in New York City.

After being awarded his doctorate in 2007, Rob returned to the UK in 2008. He continues to teach, and currently lectures in American Film at Cardiff University.

He lives with his partner, Alison, and their daughter, Amber, in the town of Llantrisant, Wales.

Kisuhs Kamkamoss and the White Warrior

Triggered by the tragic discovery of a friend’s body, a young Indian embarks on a quest to find the killers. It is the beginning of a voyage of discovery, in which Kisuhs Kamkamoss must face many challenges and confront the dangers and realities of a rapidly changing world.

This fictional work taps into Native American myth and legend and is set around the time of first contact with the outside world. Its geographical setting is the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada (modern day New England and New Brunswick). The story includes reference to a number of tribes residing there to this day; namely, Mi’kmaq (Lnu or MI’kmaw), Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik), Passamaquoddy (Pestomuhkati), Abenaki (Alnobak), and Penobscot (Panawahpskek) – the five tribes of Wabanaki Confederacy.
